Gaming commission names new director
Allen Godfrey, a career state employee, with broad experience in the field of public body regulatory compliance, has been selected as the new Executive Director of the Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC).
Godfrey, 50, succeeds Larry Gregory who is retiring after 30 years of Mississippi public service employment, including 15 years as Executive Director of the MGC.
The three member Gaming Commission, comprised of Jerry St Pe’, chairman, and commissioners Nolen Canon and John Hairston, announced Godfrey’s appointment today saying he was selected from a field of more than 100 applicants who applied for the position.
