Apology from prison
[Editor’s Note: Kevis Wilson wrote to us about a month ago, asking that we publish this letter to the community. We checked with Sheriff Hamp, who verified the circumstances mentioned in the letter. Sheriff Hamp said he had no objection to our running it as a letter to the editor.]
My name is Kevis Wilson. I’m a resident of Tunica County. A graduate of Rosa Fort High School class of 1990. I’m writing this letter from the federal prison in Yazoo City, MS. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to my family and the community of Tunica County for my actions and behavior. I’m currently serving a ten year sentence for the mastermind role for the Sept. 30, 2003 robbery of the Grand Casino.
