Lions crush Ashland in home opener
The Rosa Fort Lions complete the nonconference portion of their schedule tonight (Friday), when Lake Cormorant High comes to town. The Gators are 1-2 overall, with losses to Horn Lake and DeSoto Central in their last two match-ups.
“They’ll be a tougher opponent for us, but we’re confident,” Head Coach Edwin Norwood said. “Our players know a lot of their players, and we’re excited to play them.”
Last Friday, the Lions steamrolled the Blue Devils of Ashland, MS. Rosa Fort’s starters played the first quarter and jumped out to a safe lead. Coaches then began substituting, but the Lions still led 50-0 at the half.
