The first time a young eagle stands at the edge of a nest and looks down at the world below, I am sure they look at their eagle parents and squawk, “You want me to fly from up here? Are you crazy???” And I can relate. On Monday, I stood in my proverbial tree top and thought, “Can I fly or will I fall?”
For those of you who haven’t heard, our publisher and my mom, Brooks Taylor, went in to the hospital Monday for emergency surgery. She is doing well  now and as of press time, was at home. We expect her to stay home and recover until next week. Now that I’ve put it out in print for all the community to read, Mom, you’ll have to honor that request.
