Livestock producers reminded of program deadline
“Livestock producers should be aware of the upcoming deadlines for the Livestock Disaster Programs,” stated Aaron Robinson, Sr., County Executive Director for the USDA Farm Service Agency in Tunica County,.
The 2008 Farm Bill authorized coverage for livestock related losses through three programs: the Livestock Forage Disaster Program, the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honey Bees and Farm-Raised Fish (ELAP) and the Livestock Indemnity Program.
