Cookin with The Columns: A solution for egg yolks
So, last week I asked you to send me recipes. Judy Allison had told me that she would send me this recipe to use up the egg yolks that I talked about a couple of weeks ago. The recipe for Sawdust Pie called for 7 egg whites and I asked what to do with all the leftover yolks. So this is her answer--this recipe calls for 4 yolks--one more egg and you could make two chess pies while you are at it! So keep those recipes coming, folks. Looks like I might make two kinds of pie this weekend--a Sawdust Pie and a Chess Pie (or two!)
