Tunica Academy’s “cobra” offense struck three times in quick succession to open last Friday’s conference match-up with Bayou. Less than three minutes into the game, Austin Hagstrom zinged downfield from TA’s own 23 to put six points on the board for the Blue Devils. Rip Kirk’s extra point was good.
At 2:57, still in the first, Hagstrom broke another long gainer, a 66-yarder, to put TA up 14-0. The Devils tacked on another TD at 1:29, on a 67-yard completion from quarterback Brandon Holmes to receiver Taylor Hagstrom. The extra point pass attempt fell short.
