Town eyes new wards
Tunica’s Board of Aldermen started the process of redistricting town wards last week, leading up to the next municipal election in 2013.
The 2010 census showed a slight population loss in town boundaries, from 1132 in 2000 to 1030 in the year 2010. But a shift in population within existing wards is really driving the move.
