FEMA: residents recovering
It’s not back to normal, but progress is being made at the Tunica Cutoff, according to FEMA representative Janet Strickland.
Strickland updated the Board of Supervisors on Nov. 7 and said the process of long term assistance and recovery was underway. A group has been formed to take care of unmet needs in nine counties, she said.
“They are in the process of putting together all resources for individuals,” Strickland said.
Mark Hudson is representing Tunica County on the all-volunteer board of directors for the newly named North Mississippi Recovery Group.
