Dogs: more than pets
One organization has seen first hand the impact that four legged friends can make–beyond being man’s best friend.
Charles Dwyer of Senatobia, who spoke on behalf of Retrieving Freedom, a kennel that assists The Tower of Hope, told of the miracles of service dogs at the Robinsonville Rotary Club on Wednesday, Dec. 7.
Dwyer said service dogs are classified in three ways. They can assist the injured, both military and non military. They can serve as companion dogs. They can be used as facility dogs. All of these uses require specialized training.
