Mayor: expenses controlled
On his first day as supervisor, District 4 Supervisor Henry Nickson Jr. encouraged Tunica County to take note of how the town of Tunica does things.
Mayor Chuck Cariker said he wanted to further explain the town’s travel policy and encourage questions if citizens had them.
“In the past, the town had two credit cards, one for the clerk and one for the mayor,” Cariker said. “Currently, we only have one credit card that remains locked in the vault. It is used for advance travel reservations and only issued to someone when they are traveling on official business.”
