Party honors SDA Master of Ceremonies
On Dec. 28, the evening before the Presentation and White and Gold Ball, the Southern Debutante Assembly held a cocktail buffet honoring Orman Lanier Kimbrough III of Winter Park, Fla., the master of ceremonies for the presentation and ball, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Paul Farmer on Grand Boulevard in Greenwood.
Hurricane lamps lined the walkway to the veranda steps, where wrought iron candelabra held votives in crystal holders. Winter-blooming pansies in garden urns flanked the double-door entry, which was framed by red gossamer holiday ribbon entwined with twinkle lights. A whimsical old-fashioned Santa Claus figure bearing gifts greeted guests as they entered.
