For the second consecutive meeting, employee paychecks made their way to the county Board of Supervisors’ table.
District 5 Supervisor McKinley Daley called for action on a request for a salary increase for an employee that was initially made by Road Manager Joe Eddie Hawkins on Jan. 31. At that time, Hawkins asked that the employee receive a $6,000 per year raise to put him in line with others in similar positions.
Daley’s motion received a quick second from District 4 Supervisor Henry Nickson.
