Supes: Some spots unfilled
A short agenda still drew a large crowd as the Board of Supervisors experimented with a later time for their Feb. 15 meeting.
In January, Beat 2 Supervisor Henry Nickson Jr. proposed that board meetings be moved from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to accommodate citizens who want to attend sessions but may be working. Board president James Dunn suggested a compromise, calling for the mid month meeting and end of the month meeting to be moved to 5 p.m. The first meeting of the month was left at 9 a.m.
Nine items were listed on Feb. 15’s agenda and the board concluded their business around 5:25 p.m. Two issues were carried over. Those items were appointments to Tunica County Public Projects Inc.’s Board of Directors and Tunica Arena’s Board of Directors.
