Teacher charged with sexual battery
A former teacher is facing criminal charges in the wake of allegations by a student.
Melvin Glass, 55, of Hernando turned himself in to the Tunica County Sheriff’s Department last week, following an investigation into an incident that occured in December 2011. Glass has been accused of fondling a student on the campus of Rosa Fort High School, where he was employed as a teacher at the David Williams Career Technical Center.
