Delta Health Alliance targets obesity

The Delta Health Alliance recently announced that it had awarded $2.1 million in new grants to six agencies to improve health care in the Mississippi Delta. Of that amount, $1.5 million will go toward a special initiative to combat obesity.
“These grants are a first step towards addressing the high rate of obesity in our state. ” Karen Fox, President and CEO of the Delta Health Alliance said.
