Conference digs up interesting topics
A small group of archaeologists and artifact collectors from the surrounding area converged in Tunica recently as the Mid-South Archaeological Society hosted its annual conference at the Tunica Museum.
The half-day conference, which took place on Saturday, June 2, attracted approximately 25 archaeologists from Mississippi, Tennessee and Arkansas, according to Sam Brookes, a retired archaeologist with the Mississippi Department of Archives and History and the host of this year’s event.
