Local earns award
Rachel Earnheart was recently recognized as Belhaven University’s Outstanding Teacher Intern for the 2011-2012 school year. The Mississippi Association of Colleges for Teacher Education honored Earnheart and other recipients during a ceremony at the Jackson Forestry and Agricultural Museum. She is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Winston Earnheart of Tunica and the late Meg Earnheart.
Currently pursuing her Master of Education at Belhaven University, Earnheart did her student internship in the Pearl Public School District for the 5th grade. Her love for teaching started early.
