Museum Sports Day honors athletes
While the pageantry and celebrations of the 2012 London Olympic Games have the nation enthralled, take a break this Saturday, August 4, to come out to the Tunica Museum and enjoy Sports Day.
From 2 to 5 p.m., young athletes – whether football, basketball, or baseball players, cheerleaders or others – are invited to don jerseys and uniforms and turn out for the official opening of an exhibit of Janice Ward’s Olympic memorabilia that is on display now at the museum.
