Citizen rebuts prior letter on Tunica Cut-off
This letter is in response to the letter submitted in the Tunica Times by Mrs. Suzette Davidson. Mrs. Davidson, help me to understand why you don’t understand the meaning of double standards. Seeing that you co-signed everything I wrote, what is it that you’re really rebutting? And yes, not only am I downright...offended at the way Tunica County is governed and rightfully so. And whether it was $16,000 or $30,200 dollars, you still received monetary aid and help whether from the county and government organizations. Plus in a timely fashion. It was not the county’s responsibility to pay for your cleanup when you all hired professional contractors with proper machinery and heavy equipment to do it. I didn’t see them take one shred of debris over to the landfill. Instead they dumped it over on the county side of the levee. And yes, the chairman of the board initiated it, and other board members followed his lead.
