Bowman returns for Belmont program
Author, speaker and honorary local Dr. Judi Love Bowman will return to Tunica County for a special weekend at Belmont M.B. Church. She is set for a speaking engagement at Oct. 7 at 2:30, a release of her latest book and distribution of school supplies.
“I am most looking forward to preaching, and celebrating my 25th year in ministry with my “family” (Bertha Lee “Madea” Brown, Tenia Brown-Fullilove),” Bowman said. “Tenia and I have been working in the ministry of social responsibility together for over 20 years. She and her family ‘adopted’ my son and me. Someone once said, ‘God gives you two families: one you are born into and one for what your heart needs.’ The Browns are what my heart needs. Madea celebrated her 80th birthday this year, so I look forward to spending time with her. Most of all, I am excited about preaching.”
