Heartbreaker for Lions in HC loss
Rosa Fort High School’s second district game at Lafayette High School tonight (Friday) is almost a “must win” for the Lions, according to coaches, after a heart-breaking one point loss to North Pontotoc in the season’s district debut last week.
“We want to bounce back,” Assistant Coach Cordell Gray said Tuesday.
By right, the Lions won their Homecoming outing in every way but the final score. Rosa Fort racked up 202 yards rushing and 188 yards through the air for a total of 390 yards total offense, to North Pontotoc’s 209 total yards. However, a few penalties and missed opportunities were the difference in a Homecoming victory and the ever-so-narros loss.
