Local events abound through December
From now through the end of the year Tunica is packed with fun things to do, starting with this Saturday, when the Henderson Rec Center hosts a Community Fall Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and pro wrestling returns, this time in the Rec gymnasium, starting at 7 p.m.
Next week is just as busy. On Thursday, Oct. 18, the Tunica Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Tunica County Chamber of Commerce are hosting an invitation-only celebration of 20 years of gaming and tourism at Bluesville in Horseshoe Casino. The bi-annual Scout Base, organized by the Chickasaw Council, Boy Scouts of America, begins at the Tunica Arena, with thousands of Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Explorers, Scout families and visitors expected for Friday and Saturday events, demonstrations and activities.
