McKinney, Bulldogs stellar in MSU win
Mississippi State freshman linebacker Benardrick McKinney of Tunica led the Bulldog defense with 14 tackles in last Saturday’s 41-31 win over the University of Tennessee. MSU is now undefeated in six games and 3-0 in SEC play.
Former Lions help Northwest to 9-0
Trailing after the first quarter for the first time all season, 6th-ranked Northwest scored 26 unanswered to take a three touchdown lead early in the fourth and held on for a 32-20 win over visiting Holmes Thursday night at Bobby Franklin Field.
