As it has so many times in the past, the Blue Devils’ season hopes ride on the outcome of tonight’s home game with perennial rival Desoto Academy. With undefeated Deer Creek winning the district title outright, the battle is for second place between the Thunderbirds at 4-1 and TA, 3-2. A win this week will propel the Devils into the #2 spot, Head Coach Bryan Burrell said, based on points scored, for and against.
“Desoto is well-coached, and they’ll be a quality opponent for us,” Burrell said.
