Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Division of Continuing Education will offer some new and exciting classes during the spring semester to get your creative juices flowing.  All are non-credit classes held on the Senatobia campus.
Knitting for Beginners: Knitting only involves two basic stitches and over the course of three weeks, participants will learn how to perform each of these stitches and how to combine them into a more sophisticated project. Students will create a potholder, bookmark and scarf, learn how to read patterns and find patterns online so that they can build on the skills learned in class.  Materials will be provided for the first two weeks of the class and are included in the cost of the class. Students will need to provide the yarn needed for the final project and information on choosing and purchasing yarn will be discussed in class. The class will be taught on three Saturdays, Feb. 9, 16 and 23 from 9 a.m. to noon in the Physical Science Building, Room 334. The fee for the class is $60 and the deadline to register is Jan. 30.
