Joey’s Story: A starving little dog ignored by a neighborhood but embraced by world
I will never forget the first time I saw Joey. His picture was posted to our facebook page along with an urgent message, “Can someone please help this dog?” He had been spotted in a neighborhood while a man was making a delivery at a business on 61 Highway. He took a picture on his phone of a small dog that was obviously in need of immediate medical attention. His back was arched and he couldn’t walk without falling over. And he was starved beyond belief. That single picture spoke volumes of the horrific life Joey had endured.
