Hugh “Speck” Denver Brewer, Sr. age 96, passed away February 22, 2013 in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral services were at held at 3 p.m. on February 25, 2013 at Meredith-Nowell Memorial Funeral Home in Tunica, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
He was born January 27, 1917 in Jayess, Mississippi, to Dr. O.C. and Dolly (Clark) Brewer. He was married to his wife of 67 years, Frances Gatewood, and to this union three children were born.
