Mississippi Senate Weekly Report- Feb. 7
JACKSON, February 7, 2014 – This week we passed Senate Bill 2640 that among other things creates an evaluation system that determines how much impact state incentives have had on the creation of jobs and bettering of the economy.
Also passed was Senate Bill 2547 that will prohibit convicted embezzlers from taking jobs in the public sector.
The passage of Senate Bill 2068 will allow recreational fishers to have their catch cooked and served in restaurants.
In a measure to provide a safer environment, we passed Senate Bill 2405 that would increase the penalties for people who shoot or hunt on levees.
