Two charter school applications vie for Tunica
Though 31 organizations submitted letters of intent to bring charters schools to various areas in Mississippi, only 12 actually turned in applications for review to the Mississippi Charter School Authorizer Board (MCSAB ). Deadline for applications was March 14th.
“Two were for Tunica County,” MCSAB Chairman Tommie Cardin said. “One was for Emerge Community STEAM Charter School, the other for Dubois STEM & Arts Prep Academy of Tunica. Both of those proposed to start the 2015 school year.”
