Mississippi included in new geotourism mapguide, website
Travelers seeking beautiful natural places and culturally real experiences now have a valuable new resource in a comprehensive “Geotourism MapGuide” and website for four Gulf Coast states of Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. The landmark project launched in March during a press event hosted by the Mississippi Development Authority’s Tourism Division has taken over a year and is a significant asset for everyone who visits or lives in the region.
The Geotourism MapGuide highlights the rich landscapes and enduring, resilient people of the Gulf southern crescent region. The program is designed to showcase to local, national and international audiences the natural, cultural and historic attractions that define this special place.
