Town Memorial Day program is Monday
The Town of Tunica marks Memorial Day this year with a special guest speaker, Chaplain (CPT) Sean McMackin of Olive Branch. He is currently assigned to the National Guard’s 168th Engineer Brigade.
The Memorial Day program will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 26, at the Veterans Memorial Park in downtown Tunica.
Chaplain McMackin is a native of Memphis and an ordained minister of the Southern Baptist Church. He graduated from Christian Brothers University with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and earned a master of divinity degree focusing in Biblical studies at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Germantown, TN. In addition to his service as an Army chaplain, McMackin has served the First Baptist Church in Lakeland, TN; First Baptist Church in DeWitt, AR; and Grace Bible Church in Coldwater, MS.
