Mighty Lions conquer Jaguars 42-26
The Rosa Fort High School Lions have begin their 2010 football season on fire.
On August 20, they battled the Choctaws of West Tallahatchie and blew them out 38-6. Then last Friday, the Lions traveled to Shelby to take on the Broadstreet High Jaguars and came home with a 42-26 win.
In the first quarter, the Jaguars scored first to go up 6-0 on the Lions. But Rosa Fort came roaring back to tie the game 6-6 near the end of the first quarter on a touchdown run by quarterback Bernardrick McKinney. During the first quarter, McKinney had six rushes for a total of 21 yards, the longest for 16.
