Project gaining ground
Following action at the Board of Supervisors on Sept. 7, dust should again be rising from the site of the planned $300 million manufacturing facility in North Tunica County.
The board approved a motion to hire Jaycon Development of Hernando to provide column footing for the project. Board attorney Andy Dulaney said Schulz officials and consultants, as well as other involved parties, were agreeable to that hire as well as the hiring of Jesco-Yates. They will serve as the general contractors/construction managers for the project and will replace Graycor Harrell, whose contract was terminated nearly a month ago. Jessco has offices in Memphis, Fulton and Tupelo and in Montgomery, Ala. Their client list includes: the University of Memphis, Kimberly-Clark, Sanderson Farms, Caterpillar and more.
