Cookin with The Columns: A taste of Cajun cuisine
We have just returned from our vacation to Louisiana with Heather and Scott Anthony.
The first place we went was to West Monroe to visit the Duck Commander location because Scott Anthony loves Duck Dynasty. Unfortunately, none of the guys were there that day.
My sister lives in Baton Rouge so we spent a couple of days with her and her husband and went to eat fried shrimp at our favorite place, Hymel’s, located near the Sunshine Bridge close to Sorrento, LA. It reminds us of the Blue and White because it’s in an old gas station. We all agree it’s the best fried shrimp we’ve eaten anywhere, ever. Our running joke with my sister is that we really come to Louisiana for the food, not just to see her!
