‘Low speed vehicles,’ not golf carts ordinance
A proposed ordinance to regulate low speed vehicles on town streets is headed to a July 31 public hearing.
Alderman considered revisions to and asked questions about a draft ordinance that was presented to the town board on July 1.
Mayor Chuck Cariker opened the agenda item by saying that he was “tasked to draft an ordinance.
“I think it would be a good thing for the community, but it’s not my ordinance,” Cariker said. “I support it, but I will do whatever the wishes of the board are.”
