Cookin with' The Columns: Not Mom’s, but good
My mother used to make Pineapple Upside Down Cake. I thought about it this week because my pineapple plant has made a little pineapple. It had gotten to be pretty big, but a squirrel got to it before I did. He just cut it off at the stem and ate a few bites of the pineapple and then left me the rest.
I’m going to try to plant the crown and see if it will also make a pineapple. It’s so easy to do. All you have to do is cut off the top of a pineapple and push it down into a pot of dirt. It will eventually root and if you wait long enough, it will make another pineapple.
