Transcript released from July 18 Thompson trial
The full transcript from the July 18 Justice Court trial of county administrator Michael Thompson fills in many blanks in the account of the arrest last February and hints at a larger investigation of Thompson by the Tunica County Sheriff’s Department.
During the trial, a special judge from Quitman County, Joe Brown, found County Administrator Michael Thompson guilty of driving with a suspended license in Tunica County Justice Court. Thompson’s attorney, Scott Colom, said he will appeal and dig even deeper to prove Thompson was entrapped by members of Tunica County Sherriff’s Department.
