We Remember
Rosa Fort High School hosted a special ceremony on Friday, Sept. 10 in front of the school’s gymnasium,. As the flag went up and the trumpets sounded, commuters on U.S. 61 slowed down as they reflected on the tragic events that occurred on Sept. 11, 2001. Lt. Col. Wayne Hill (right) shared what the day actually meant, and Aliah McMullen sang the national anthem. The RFHS JROTC unit served as the color guard and members of the Armed Drill Team, led by Hill and MSGT Jerry Thomas, had a special part in the ceremony.
