Northwest wins 41-26 in season opener
Northwest racked up a season-high 485 yards of total offense, including 240 on the ground and four scores, and the 15th-ranked Rangers won a 41-26 shootout over East Central in their home-opener on Thursday night at Bobby Franklin Field.
The teams combined for 952 yards of total offense on the evening in a high-scoring affair, backed by two solid performances at the quarterback spot and a slew of speedy receivers.
