Principal encouraged by Middle School’s progress
Glen B. Newson, father of five and pastor of a Lake Comorant church, has stepped up to the role of Tunica Middle School principal. A graduate of the University of Mississippi, having been employed the past seven years in the Tunica County School district, four of which were spent as assistant principal of TMS, Newson’s career seemed to follow a natural trajectory when the principal position became available.
He says that being a principal has afforded him the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children as well as help teachers develop to their professional potential. He credits his parents, Walter and Eveline Newson of Senatobia, for encouraging him in the field of education.
