Locals earn degrees from Delta State

Delta State University awarded 418 degrees to students during Spring Commencement held Saturday, May 8, inside Walter Sillers Coliseum on the campus in Cleveland, Miss..
The degrees awarded include 316 baccalaureate, 95 masters, 6 educational specialists, and one Doctor of Education in Professional Studies.
Tunica County students graduating were: William Henry Gidden, who earned a bachelor of business administration in marketing, and Yolanda Jefferson, who earned a bachelor of social work in social work.
