Mississippi RiverKings hockey gets under way
SOUTHAVEN – As the Mississippi RiverKings embark on its 19th season of hometown professional hockey in the Mid-South on the ice, the RiverKings have also been busy off the ice promoting area events and activities.
A “Big Scoop” of food and fun was going on at AutoZone Park in Memphis on Saturday, September 25th, when the annual “Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival” for the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis was held. RiverKings mascot Sheldon the Turtle was on hand to lend support, as attendees paid admission to taste samples provided by area vendors and take part in the fun activity. Proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald House of Memphis.
