The Tunica County Literacy Council will host their annual meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Tunica Museum.
Catherine Nathan will be the featured speaker at the program. Nathan is the director of the First Regional Library, headquartered in Hernando, Miss. She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Birmingham-Southern College and an MSLS from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Under her leadership, the library system has launched a number of new initiatives including offering area students access to an online tutoring service called HelpNow!
