Project aims high
What began as a young mom taking inventory of her child’s toys has quickly become an way to pass on some good cheer this Christmas season.
From now through mid December, Tasia Draper of Tunica is organizing the Hope Heaven Campaign, a food and toy drive for local families in need.
Draper said the idea sprang from a recent clean-up of her son, Jelani’s room. As she was going through his toys, she found several still in boxes.
“There were things that he had hardly even played with,” Draper said “Everyone’s struggling so much these days, I thought about what I could do to make sure that everyone has a wonderful Christmas.”
