Edward and Melanie Hays of Memphis, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Courtney Blair Hays to William Battle Hamrick, son of  the late William Hal Hamrick of Tunica, Elizabeth Battle Long and Henry Earl Long of Deeson.
Courtney is a 1997 graduate of Magnolia Heights in Senatobia, Miss. and the University of Mississippi, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is employed as first grade teacher at Strayhorn Elementary in Strayhorn, Miss.
