Farm safety takes focus at workshop
The Progressive Agriculture Foundation hosted a youth farm safety day at Youth Opportunities Unlimited for Quitman County residents on Friday, Nov. 12.
The Progressive Agriculture Foundation works to make farm and ranch life safer and healthier for all children through education and training. The Foundation provides a variety of support for the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day program, a one-day hands-on workshop that teaches farm children and their parents safe farm practices. Each year, Progressive Agriculture Safety Days reach more than 60,000 children and adults across the country, educating children on safety and health lessons to keep them safe and healthy on a farm, ranch or at home.
