The Tunica Academy varsity boys’ team put up wins this week in its first two games of the season, after games scheduled earlier in the season were delayed until football closed out its 2010 run. The Blue Devils suited up without several members of the team who will be joining them next week.
At North Delta Monday, TA bested a “pretty good” Green Wave team 41-34, Coach Ed Beach said.
Tyler Billingsley and Caleb McCoy were the leading scorers for the Devils, with 15 and 11 points respectively. The two led again Tuesday night at home against Delta Academy, with McCoy notching 20 and Billingsley, 14.
