My column a few weeks ago on welfare went viral. For those of you not into the Internet, that means it became instantly and widely distributed on multiple Internet Web sites.
The first big Web site to pick it up was a site called Zero Hedge. I had never heard of Zero Hedge but several of my friends are fans and quickly alerted me that my welfare chart was on the site. It had 350 comments in a couple of days. Wow!
From Zero Hedge, the chart went viral and become the focal topic of literally dozens of popular political blog sites.
