The Varsity Blue Devils of Tunica Academy are in the hunt for a North A basketball championship, after finishing the district tournament as runners-up to DeSoto Academy.
The District 1 #2 Devils met host Strider Academy (weather permitting) in the first round  of the North A tournament on Wed., Feb. 9, with the winner of that game meeting the winner of the Greenville Christian (District 2 #1)-Marvell match-up tonight (Friday, Feb. 11) at 7:15 p.m.
Strider comes into the tournament as the #3 seed in District 2. DeSoto is seeded first in District 1 and played North Sunflower last Tuesday.
The top four teams out of the North A tournament advance to the Class A state tournament.
